  65. ===== Information for Users ("READ-ME") ================

  67. TrayDay lets you see the date at a glance by putting an icon (choice of
  68. three styles) in the "system tray" near the time. Move the mouse over the
  69. icon and the day of the week, or week of the year, will appear.
  70. Left-click the icon and a pop-up menu appears showing the date in various
  71. formats - including up to ten user defined formats. Click one and it will
  72. automatically be inserted into your application. You can select your
  73. favorite date format to be available by double-clicking the TrayDay icon.
  74. The user formats can include the date, ordinals (1st, 2nd 3rd etc), time,
  75. and counters - particularly useful for date/time-stamping messages or
  76. files. TrayDay also has a calendar option; you can choose to have the
  77. monthly calendar "on top" all the time for quick reference. Navigate
  78. months and years using the mouse or keyboard - or the Microsoft
  79. IntelliMouse wheel - and copy any date to the clipboard in the format of
  80. your choice. The calendar will display months and day letters in your own
  81. language, and can be set to show Sunday or Monday as the first day of the
  82. week. By placing a shortcut to TrayDay in your startup folder, you
  83. can have the date available all the time.

  101. TrayDay is distributed as a .zip file. Extract the files to a (temporary)
  102. folder, and run SetupTD.exe. During the install process you can choose
  103. to have TrayDay added to your list of programs which start every time
  104. Windows starts.

  106. To uninstall, select TrayDay from Add-Remove Programs in Windows control
  107. panel.
  108.  
  109. Note that from v6.14, the TrayDay setup program SetupTD.exe is
  110. digitally "signed" by MJMSoft Design Ltd., using public key cryptography.
  111. This can be confirmed with the SafenSigned Verifier - available from
  112. http://www.securisys.com/ - and ensures that the file is authentic and
  113. has not been modified or tampered with in the distribution channel. Our

  162. 1. DEFINITIONS The "Company" means MJMSoft Design Limited, a company
  163. incorporated in the United Kingdom under the laws of Scotland and
  164. registered under the Companies Act 1985 (registered number 183702) and
  165. having its registered office at 6 Polwarth Crescent, Edinburgh, EH11 1HW,
  166. United Kingdom. The "Software" means the TrayDay program, being the
  167. program available by accessing the attached files and available for use
  168. on the Windows 95, Windows NT4, or later operating systems, and any
  169. future releases of the Software.

  171. 2. LICENSE 2.1 Completion of the installation of the Software licenses
  172. you to use the Software personally on one or more computers for
  173. evaluation purposes only. The License is transferable in terms of Clause
  174. 7 and will terminate at the end of 28 days of use subject to payment of
  175. the registration fee and completion of the registration process. 2.2
  176. Payment of the registration fee and completion of the registration
  177. process will automatically continue the term of the License. This License
  178. will permit one copy of the Software to be used by the registered user on
  179. one computer at any one time. If it is intended that more than one person
  180. will use the Software they must register separately with the Company and
  181. make payment of the registration fee. If it is intended that the Software
  182. will be used on more than one computer at one time you should contact the
  183. Company to obtain the appropriate License. 2.3 This License covers this
  184. release and any future release of the Software.

  186. 3. TERM This License as extended pursuant to clause 2.2 of this License
  187. is effective until terminated by destruction of the Software and all
  188. associated documentation together with all copies of the Software. It
  189. will also terminate if you fail to abide by its terms. Upon termination
  190. you agree to destroy all copies of the Software and all documentation
  191. including any Software stored on the hard disk of any computer under your
  192. control.

  194. 4. MILLENIUM COMPLIANCE The Company has tested the Software for Year 2000
  195. compliance, and has encountered no problems. Date logic is not used for
  196. counting the 28-day evaluation period; instead the Software counts the
  197. number of distinct days on which the Software is used. The current date
  198. is supplied by the Windows operating system, and the calendar is
  199. unaffected by the Year 2000 boundary. The Software's ability to type a
  200. date or copy it to the clipboard uses long date formats, which are
  201. unaffected by the 2000 boundary. The Company has tested various
  202. scenarios, including installation within 28 days of 1/1/2000, and has
  203. found no abnormalities. The Company provides no warranties in relation to
  204. Year 2000 compliance and your remedies for any such failure of the
  205. Software shall be limited to the provisions for technical support in
  206. Clause 5 and/or repayment of the registration fee.

  208. 5. SUPPORT The Company will provide free technical support in relation to
  209. the Software by mail or e-mail, which support is limited to advice and
  210. assistance relating to the installation and operation of the Software
  211. itself, and shall be provided for a period of 90 days from the date on
  212. which you make your first request to the Company for support. If you are
  213. experiencing difficulties in operating the Software you should refer to
  214. the Help file, including the section "Frequently asked questions", or,
  215. where appropriate, to the user manual for your operating system or to
  216. your IT department.

  218. 6. COPYRIGHT All title and copyright in and to the Software and any
  219. copies thereof are owned by the Company and the Company shall at all
  220. times retain ownership of the Software. You must maintain all copyright
  221. notices on all copies of the Software.

  223. 7. TRANSFER You are permitted to transfer the Software and the benefit of
  224. this License to another person provided that he has agreed to accept all
  225. the terms of this License and you contemporaneously transfer all copies
  226. of the Software you have made to that person or destroy all copies not
  227. transferred. If any transferee does not accept such terms then the
  228. License to the transferee shall automatically terminate. The transferee
  229. must register their details with the Company in order to obtain the
  230. benefit of the License.

  232. 8. RESTRICTIONS Except as expressly permitted by this License and save to
  233. the extent and in the circumstances required to be permitted by law you

  243. with a SafenSigned Digital Signature, and before running it the Company
  244. recommends that you use the SafenSigned Verifier to ensure that the
  245. installation program you received is authentic and has not been tampered

  247. SafenSigned Verifier. Any distribution may only be made subject to the
  248. terms of this License and any person receiving the Software must accept
  249. the terms of this License prior to completion of installation of the
  250. Software. The terms of the VENDINFO data record included in the original
  251. package are hereby incorporated by reference. Any distribution satisfying
  252. all the distribution requirements expressed in that data record is hereby
